Paragraph - Pollution in Dhaka |
Pollution means the contamination of
the components of the environment which is harmful to our health and
livelihood. Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, is the most polluted city in
the world. This city is being polluted in many ways. Among them air pollution,
water pollution, sound pollution and odour pollution are noteworthy. Air is
polluted by smoke and fumes of vehicles and industries. Water is polluted by
waste and filth of mills and factories. Vehicle horns and indiscriminate use of
loud speakers cause sound pollution. Dumping of rubbish and untreated human
waste cause serious odour pollution. In this way this city is being polluted
day by day. Different kinds of pollution in Dhaka city cause various diseases
and premature deaths to thousands of people. However, we should take measures
to prevent pollution in Dhaka city. We should plant more trees and preserve
those planted before. Government should take initiatives to stop pollution in
Dhaka city and to save the people of this city. To prevent pollution,
government as well as all the conscious citizens of the city should come
forward to develop civic sense to reduce all kinds of pollution in Dhaka. We
must remember "pollution and perish; preserve and flourish”.
