Paragraph - An Ideal Teacher |
An ideal teacher is he who is loved
and respected by his students for his noble qualities. It is said that a
teacher is an architect of a nation. He plays an important role in building up
an educated nation. It is universally admitted that no ideal education can ever
be imparted without an ideal teacher. Hence in every society, an ideal teacher
is in heavy demand. The ideality of a teacher has to be determined by some
solid tests. Generally, a teacher who has proper education and sound character
is an ideal teacher. We all know that good education begins with sound academic
instruction. For this reason, a teacher must be both scholar and dutiful. He
must make his students confident and prove them intelligent. He must make
lessons interesting. To make his lecture easy, lucid and interesting, he must
work hard so that the general students can follow him easily. He should be a good
speaker with good, strong pleasing voice which must be under his control. He must be an actor to hold the attention and
interest of his students. He should keep students busy and make them happy. He
should have the qualities to bring out all the latent talents of a student. He
should allow students a free access into his personal association in the
college, at home, in the library or at the playground. He should give a free
flow of love and attention to the students. He should restrain students from evil
company and wrong ways. Besides, he must have intense interest in the career of
students, love for their welfare and the attitude of treating students as sons
and daughters. Moreover, an ideal teacher must not hanker after money. Rather,
he should try to be professional so that he can provide quality education.
Unless these inherent virtues remain in a teacher, sheer intellect, diligence
or practiced sternness of character cannot make him ideal.
