Dialogue between two friends on visiting the Ekushey
Book Fair
Zafi: Hello
Zarif! How are you?
Zarif: I am
fine. What about you?
Zafi: I am
fine too. What a lucky chance to meet you!
Zarif: Lucky
chance indeed! We have not meet for a long time. What are you doing now?
Zafi: I am
busy with my studies. You know I am taking preparation for the ensuing BCS
examination. So, I am to study a lot regularly.
Zarif: Oh, I
see. You might know that the book fair is going on. Have you visited the book
fair?
Zafi: Yes, the
day before yesterday I visited the book fair. In fact, I like the book fair so
much.
Zarif: Nice!
What is your feeling about the book fair?
Zafi: Really
fantastic! My feeling about the book fair can hardly be expressed in language.
By the way, have you visited it recently?
Zarif: No, I
will visit the book fair at the later part of it. I have already made a list of
the books I would like to buy. Have you purchased any?
Zafi: Yes, I
have purchased five books—all written by Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal.
Zarif: What is
the reason behind purchasing only the books of Dr. Zafar Iqbal?
Zafi: He is my
most favourite writer. His books are mostly written on our War of Liberation
and are written for children.
Zarif: I
appreciate your choice. I have planned to purchase some of his books. I will
also purchase two books of Professor Dr. Anisuzzaman.
Zafi: I may
visit the book fair with you again. I may also buy two novels of Rahat Khan. The
total arrangement of the fair also impresses me.
Zarif: It is
okay. The book fair is really a pride of the nation. Not only the locals but
also the foreigners are found visiting the book fair.
Zafi: Your are
right. The foreigners are also enjoying the fair a lot. In fact, visitors of all
walks of life are highly encouraged to visit the fair. Thank you.
Zarif: You are
most welcome. Soon see you again.
