Dialogue between two friends on growing reading
habit
Zafi: Hello Zarif!
How are you?
Zarif: I am all
right. What about you?
Zafi: I am
also fine. How are you going on with your days?
Zarif: It's
okay, but I am not getting on my studies as I am supposed to do.
Zafi: Oh, I
see! It is undoubtedly a matter of concern.
Zarif: You are
correct! But nowadays I do not find interest in reading textbooks.
Zafi: But why?
You should spend much time on reading books.
Zarif: Yes, I
know but knowledge cannot be perfected by reading only textbooks only.
Zafi: You are
perfectly right. But reading textbooks is compulsory while reading books other
than textbooks is optional.
Zarif: I cannot
agree with you completely. I think we should read all kinds of books whether they
are textbooks or books other than textbooks.
Zafi: Oh, I
see you are quite correct. In fact, reading makes a man complete.
Zarif: Exactly!
Without reading we are unable to expand our knowledge. What's your area of
interest?
Zafi: Well, I
like detective novels. I spend my leisure time reading books.
Zarif: Excellent!
I think a book is like a living person and a good book is a good companion.
Zafi: I also
think so. A book is always ready to be by your side. Thank you.
Zarif: Yes, it
is so. You are most welcome.
