Dear Apu,
It has always
been a great pleasure to write to you! Already my exams have been over.
Therefore, at present I have nothing so important to do. However, I cannot
waste my time sitting idly or getting involved in trifling activities. Since my
childhood I have been nursing a dream of doing something for the poor,
destitute people. For this I have decided to go back to my village. There I will
spend the next three month. I will work with the villagers to create awareness
among them.
You know, most
of our villagers lead a miserable life. Being illiterate, they are unaware
about their duties and responsibilities. Even they do not know how to fight
against poverty. It’s matter of great regret that most of the farmers in our
country still cultivate their lands following the traditional methods. They
seem to be completely dependent on nature.
Most of them do
not know that to increase production they must follow modern methods of
cultivation. To encourage them in using modern technology, I need help of
others. For this I am trying to organize a club where every villager will be a
member. What is your plan? I look forward to hearing from you!
With best
wishes,
Durjoy
