Activities of Bangladeshi People

Mahmud, Dhaka, 10 September: Leisure period is very important in human
life. When men become very tired of routine activities, they need refreshment
so that they can join their work with energy. A few days ago we interviewed
some people of the town as well as of the village. They told us about their
pastime.
In villages,
people pass their leisure period by doing many joyful activities. Young boys
and children play different kinds of games. The village girls and women usually
spend their time at home and keep them busy in gossiping, sewing, embroidering,
etc. Nowadays people of the villages are not away from the entertainment of
modern electronic media. They enjoy TV and radio programmes. The middle aged
and old men are often seen gossiping in the afternoon in the village bazar.
But in town most
of the people have developed various modes of life. They spend their leisure
time by doing some sophisticated and cultural activities. Most of the educated
people often spend their leisure by reading literary works. They also attend different
cultural programmes. They often enjoy cinema and attend meetings and seminars. Many
of them enjoy games and sports in different TV channels
